Warm late afternoon light illuminates a view of Mid-Town Manhattan from Brooklyn Heights. The supertalls of New York are lined up like soldiers at attention and are framed by the glorious Brooklyn Bridge. To the extreme right of the composition, we see the Art Deco spire of the Chrysler Building. The present work is part of the current exhibition: Mitchell Funk Photographs the Chrysler Building for 50 Years.

Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
