"Woman In a Cage" - Original Woodcut Print on Paper
Original abstract expressionist woodcut print "Woman In a Cage" by Louis Nadalini (American, 1927-1995). Multicolor hues of deep reds, yellows and greens take up the paper, with geometric shapes outlined.
Signed "L. Nadalini" lower right.
Presented in a black mat.

Louis Nadalini (American, 1927 - 1995) was born in San Francisco and attended the Art Students League where he studied with George Grosz. He also studied with Martin Baer in San Francisco from 1955-1957. In the late 1960s, he developed a form of painted relief, which was painting hard-edge forms of vertical louvers arranged so that different compositions were seen when observed from the right or the left side of the picture.
