A Professor of painting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas since 1984, Barnaby Fitzgerald spent his childhood in Italy before receiving a Magistero degree in printmaking at the Istituto Statale D’Arte in Urbino. He received a B.F.A. at Boston University and an M.F.A. from Yale University.
