About the Item

Fall Der Engel is a black and white héliogravure on cream-colored cardboard realized by Choisy Le Conin, as is remembered Franz Von Bayros (Agram, 1866 – Vienna, 1924). From Mappe, a portfolio of 50 original prints (héliogravure or cliché from watercolors, of which 14 are colored) made around 1921 by Choisy Le Conin, with a preface of von Rudolph Hans Bartsch. Published by Ed. Strache, Wien, Prag, Leipzig, this is the specimen n. 285 on a total circulation of 500 prints. Ours is the most complete original edition. In perfect conditions, with a protective tissue with the title of the subject. This original print, representing a mythological scene of a fall of an angel, demonstrates the masterful draftsmanship of Choisy Le Conin and his sure touch with his incredible dynamism of the scene. This object is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any object in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price.
