About the Item

Portrait of a Young Man is an Etching after Durer realized by Jean Patricot in 1893. Good condition, hand signed and dated. Jean Patricot was born in Lyon on March 11, 1865 and died in Paris on March 10, 1928. In 1886, he won the first Grand Prix de Rome in engraving for his Académie masculine. He then went to Rome where he stayed for four years, and where he met many artists such as engravers Émile Jean Sulpis, Frédéric de Vernon, painters Henri Pinta, Henri-Camille Danger, etc.
