About the Item

Les Biches is a ballet by Bronislava Nijinska, with music by Francis Poulenc and with costume design by Marie Laurencin. Edition of 335 copies. Copy number 17 of 60 copies on Hollande Van Gelder paper. Edition in two volumes. The first volume includes an article by Jean Cocteau and one by Darius Mihold, a portrait of La Nijinska and one of Francis Poulenc, as well as 14 hand painted drawing and illustrations by Marie Laurencin, that also illustrated the cover. The second volume is a collection of black and white photographs, including one of Marie Laurencin. Includes also the paperback slipcase. Copy with book beard, partly uncut, parts of the spine lightly unglued. Almost perfect conditions.
