This listing includes two prints by Trevor Southey. Eclipse is a Large botanical print of sunflowers by Trevor Southey. Beautiful blues and yellow predominate in this large print, which also includes some verse written in the plate by the artist. Signed, titled and numbered from the edition of 150.
Rising is a male nude lithograph.
Trevor Southey was born in Rhodesia, Africa (now Zimbabwe) in 1940. His African heritage can be traced to European colonists who settled in Cape Town, South Africa in the 17th century. In 1965 he immigrated to the United States, retaining an abiding sense of his African and British origins.
Southey's formal training includes two years at the Brighton College of Art in Sussex, England. He taught art at Brigham Young University through 1977. In 2010 The Utah Museum of Fine Arts presented the first full retrospective exhibit following Southey's entire career.

Trevor Southey

This large aquatint is by the noted American artist, Joel Stewart (1959- ). The print is a bold composition with rich, yet soft colors. Stewart has lived and worked in Kyoto, Japan since the early 1990s. This print was printed in Kyoto in 1997 in a very small edition of 14. It is in very good condition with no flaws to note.
