About the Item

Wall clock from the MARKERAD limited collection by IKEA and Virgil Abloh MARKERAD takes classic minimalist designs and builds on them with the artistic references and subversive elements typical of Virgil’s work, with his iconic quotation marks found throughout. They add a sense of irony into the products we’ve produced – perfect for people trying to build a home with a little high-fashion edge, or looking to freshen up the one they already have. Dimensions: 16.5 in diameter Time never stands still. You can't stop it, it's an endless moment of the present. This white wall clock with a clean design encourages us to reflect on time and what it means. Highly accurate at keeping time as it is fitted with a quartz movement. No disturbing ticking sounds since the clock has a silent quartz movement. Batteries are sold separately; 1pc LR6 AA size 1.5V battery required. We recommend using alkaline batteries in the clock. The clock cannot be used with rechargeable batteries. "It’s about elevating the anonymous, everyday icons that we use without noticing." - Virgil Abloh Virgil Abloh (September 30, 1980 – November 28, 2021) was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur. He was CEO of the Milan-based Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2013. Beginning in 2018 he was also the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection. A trained architect, Abloh was named by Time magazine as one of 2018’s 100 most influential people in the world. He brought the same disruptive approach to his work in furniture and product design with international brands including Braun, Vitra, Bacarrat, and IKEA among others.

Erinnerungen an einen Mord
By Curt Stenvert
Located in Wien, 9
Curt Stenvert was an Austrian avant-garde artist who initially worked as a painter. His artistic practice gradually expanded to include cinematic works and object art. His works are still internationally acclaimed today. He received his artistic training through his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He studied there with Albert Paris Gütersloh and Fritz Wotruba, which enabled him to deal with aspects of movement and perspective. This resulted in his aluminium plexiglass sculptures. His cinematic works were also influenced by his preoccupation with movement. Movement became a central motif in his works. Stenvert introduces the viewer to the biological, psychological, sociological and philosophical conditions of human existence. He developed experimental, feature-length and documentary films, which won international awards. He had solo museum exhibitions in Sweden, Italy and Germany and took part in the 1966 Venice Biennale. The social aspect preoccupied Stenvert throughout and he translated his impressions and thoughts of student unrest, social protests...
