Each piece features a cartouche shaped frame, richly moulded with a host of Baroque style detailing, including putti, acanthus leaves, and scrolling forms. Each applique is centred with a similarly shaped mirror, and each is adorned below with twin gilt bronze light branches, with each branch modelled in an ornately scrolling and foliate manner. The gilding, in exceptional unblemished condition, have a magnificent radiance, and when lit by candles or otherwise in the two mounts below the glass frame glow with a beautiful flickering light...
