Questions About Chair For 2
  • 1stDibs ExpertJune 30, 2023
The LC2 chair is a chair designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret. Its full name is the LC2 Petit Confort chair. The LC line, which stressed functionality first, saw the trio of designers carrying out bold experiments with tubular chromed steel, just as architect and Bauhaus faculty member Marcel Breuer had executed with his cantilever Cesca chair around the same time. The chair quite literally inverts the traditional construction of a chair (or any piece of furniture, really) using an exoskeleton of chromed tubular steel instead of hiding the construction inside, prioritizing an emphasis on function that boldly declared their modernist approach. Meanwhile, thick leather cushions make the seat exceptionally comfortable and lend it a boxy appearance that is compatible with the architecture and design of the International Style in which the group worked. On 1stDibs, find a variety of LC2 chairs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertMay 5, 2023
The size of a two-seater bench varies from piece to piece. Generally, benches that seat two people are 42 to 52 inches long. Three-seater benches usually range from 53 to 80 inches in length. On 1stDibs, shop a selection of benches.

A two carat emerald is 8.5 x 6.0mm. Because emeralds are quite strong they can be great for everyday wear.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 1, 2023
Gucci belts have two Gs on their buckles because the symbol serves as the logo for the Italian luxury fashion house. The logo is a reference to the initials of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the brand. His sons adopted the intertwined G symbol for the brand in the 1930s. On 1stDibs, find a diverse assortment of Gucci belts.

The history of Versace V2 starts with a partnership formed between the Gianni Versace company and Ermenegildo Zegna in the late 1980s. Versace saw the need to create a diffusion line that would produce menswear in larger quantities and a lower price than the norm for his haute couture line, and the collaboration with Zenga made his vision a reality. In 1990, Versace V2 launched in the U.S., and it debuted in Italy the following year. Then, in 1996, the Versace V2 brand expanded to include womenswear. On 1stDibs, shop a diverse assortment of Versace apparel and accessories.
  • 1stDibs ExpertFebruary 7, 2024
Versace V2 Classic is a diffusion line produced by the Italian luxury fashion house Versace. To create the line, Versace collaborated with Ermenegildo Zegna. The inaugural collection for men debuted in 1991, and Versace added women's apparel in 1996. Explore a selection of Versace apparel and accessories on 1stDibs.

A 2 carat oval diamond is approximately 10.23mm × 6.82mm × 4.16mm in size. These diamonds usually have an approximate face-up area of 57.21 mm². Find a variety of diamonds on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 1, 2023
Whether two-carat diamond studs are too big is a matter of personal preference. At this size, each earring will be one carat. If you opt for the classic round brilliant cut, the studs will typically measure around 6.5 millimeters in diameter, which is a little more than half the size of a dime. Find a wide range of diamond stud earrings on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertApril 5, 2022
The difference between Type I and Type II diamonds is their composition. Type I diamonds contain nitrogen-based impurities, while Type II diamonds do not feature these types of impurities. You'll find a large collection of diamond gemstone jewelry on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertMarch 3, 2023
Whether 2-carat is a good size for an engagement ring is a matter of personal opinion. Due to its size, a 2-carat gemstone will likely stand out and get noticed. However, some people prefer smaller engagement rings, especially if they work with their hands. Carat weight is also not the most important signifier of a stone’s value. A three-carat gem can be less valuable than a one-carat stone, for example, if all of the other attributes are of lesser quality in the larger diamond. On 1stDibs, shop a collection of engagement rings.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 8, 2023
How big a 2-carat diamond with a princess cut is varies from piece to piece. However, the average size is 7 millimeters by 7 millimeters. The measurement is around 9/32 inches, so a 2-carat princess-cut diamond will be just a little over a quarter-inch in size. On 1stDibs, find an assortment of princess-cut diamond jewelry.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 8, 2023
The difference between a lounge chair and a chair is specificity. A chair is the general term for furniture typically designed to seat one person at a time, and there are many different kinds of chairs, including dining, accent and office chairs. Lounge chairs are another example of a specific type of chair. They are chairs with a footrest that allows you to elevate your feet while sitting. On 1stDibs, explore a large collection of chairs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertJune 15, 2023
To tell if a chair is an Eames chair, take a look under the seat or cushion. Authentic Eames lounge chairs are manufactured by Herman Miller and Vitra. If your Eames chair is a Herman Miller original, look for the legendary manufacturer’s specific logomarks on the product (these logomarks can be found on the company’s official website). There is also the manufacturing label, which is usually found under the seat or cushion (unless a former owner removed it). All of the classic Herman Miller designs are paired with a certificate of authenticity. Some designs may also have a medallion attached to certify their authenticity. You can then check trusted online resources to determine if the information on the label is correct for the style of chair (and more info on its construction is available on the official Eames website). You won’t see screws outside of the wood shells on an authentic Eames lounge chair, and prior to the 1970s, original vintage Eames lounge chairs were made with no more than five layers of plywood (during the 1970s, the chairs were made with seven layers). Find a variety of authentic Eames chairs on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertMarch 22, 2022
A club chair is called a club chair because the accent chairs became popular in the interior décor of gentleman's clubs in France. The original name for the club chair is “fauteuil confortable," which translates to "comfortable chair." You'll find a collection of club chairs on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertSeptember 28, 2021
The difference between an Adirondack chair and a Muskoka chair can be easily explained in that garden armchairs are called Adirondack in the USA and Muskoka in Canada. While they both have short legs, bent reclining seats, wide armrests and high backs, the Adirondack chair is 2 inches higher from the floor and 2 inches wider. The Adirondack chair uses a flat yoke at the back while Muskoka might use curved yokes. Shop for an Adirondack chair or Muskoka chair on 1stDibs.

The difference between an accent chair and a dining chair comes down to function and design. An accent chair usually goes in a seating area, and makers craft them with comfort in mind. As a result, most accent chairs feature cushioning and upholstery and are characterized by generous proportions. The purpose of a dining chair is to provide a place to sit while enjoying a meal. Usually, dining chairs are lighter and smaller than accent chairs for easy maneuvering. While they may have padded seats and backrests, dining chairs generally aren't as abundantly cushioned as accent chairs. Explore a large selection of chairs on 1stDibs.

The difference between a task chair and an executive chair is that most task chairs will have adjustable seat height as well as swivel and tilt functions. Task chairs are lightweight and mobile but are not intended for long periods of continuous use. Executive chairs are meant to be more comfortable and are usually designed with high backrests. An executive chair is intended for long periods of use compared to a task chair, which in some cases may be armless and isn’t going to provide the premium comfort that can be expected from an executive chair. Task chairs are also typically less expensive than executive chairs. Find a variety of antique, modern and contemporary task chairs and executive chairs on 1stDibs.
