This beautiful quality and marvelous design tile serving tray is another one of our recent decorative finds and an absolute joy to own and to look at. We have recently listed on 1stdibs one of the largest, single tile serving trays and this is a similar, but smaller one. This fine specimen too is antique, hand-crafted AND hand-painted and this tile could not be in better condition also. There are absolutely no cracks in the porcelain tile and the glazed surface made sure that the hand painted colorful flowers with some insects and the stunning branch and leafs patterns have not faded at all. There is an elegance about the wonderfully flowing motion with which the beautifully colored flowers and leafs and branches are painted and that makes this antique an absolute joy to look at. The good size and thick tile is inlaid perfectly in the naturally beautiful and stylish branches frame and the strong handles on either side make it easy to use as well.

Thanks to its good size, its unique handcarved design and extremely good condition this alabaster chandelier is bound to light up both your days and evenings. What makes this particular alabaster pendant stand out from those that we have seen and sold over the years are both the great colors AND the stylish and all-handcarved grape bunches and wine leafs that are going all around the shade. If you look closely then you will realize that these grapevines are not only the most deeply carved you will have ever seen, they also have been hand-carved with a technique that is called "(we cannot find the name for it yet)". Most of us are unable to handcarve anything half-decent, but the artisan whom created this work-of-art-light-fixture took it to another level alltogether. Not only did he hand-carve beautifully detailed grapevines with grape bunches and wine leafs, he also managed to carve everything around it away whilst still keeping the stunning alabaster shade perfectly round. Using this particular technique of hand-carving on a flat surface would already be very difficult and time consuming, performing it on a round surface is something only the true master carvers would have been able accomplish. Red and pink & black and white are the main colors in this, one of a kind alabaster pendant and with the light off this work of art really is a joy to own and look at. However, with the light switched on this amazing shade comes even more to life and then this chandelier creates an atmosphere that is unlike anything we have ever seen. For this unique light to still be in this amazing condition after more than 100 years is not only an ode to the craftsmanship with which this light was handmade, it also shows how former owners have taken great care. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this alabaster stone shade and you could still not get a good idea of the unique beauty and class that this chandelier radiates. In real life our antiques always have that little bit extra and this stunning pendant truly epitomizes that. You can (again) take our word for it. Have you also noticed the perfect bronze and bross suspension points? They too are in perfect condition. To us, this is the perfect antique pendant for a restaurant or winery, but it will also look perfect in a cosey entry hall or in a bedroom. Both with the light on and off its artistic beauty will never go unnoticed. This marvelously hand-crafted brass and transparent glass (all beveled) hallway pendant is another one of those rare finds off which we immediately knew we had to have it. There are so many interiors in which this antique pendant will look perfect that we have no doubt it will soon be gracing someones home again. Apart from the open design and the beautiful and durable materials this wonderful pendant light also stands out, because of the many, transparent and beveled glass panels in their perfect brass frames. Finding this rare light was a treat, but for all 36 glass 'windows' to have stood the test of 100 years time without any cracks is just amazing. This beautiful quality and impressive pair of gilt bronze and alabaster sconces truly is a rare find. We have sold many antique alabaster pendant lights, but as far as we can remember we have never found an antique pair of alabaster wall sconces. These rare, all-handcrafted and handsome lights come with detailed and stunning, gilt bronze ram's head sculptures on either side and a grape-bunch finial at the bottom. These elements ofcourse all have a deeper, symbolic meaning to them which also makes these lights great conversation pieces. These unique wall fixtures date from circa 1910 and they will change the look and feel of an entrance or hallway or any living room like no modern lights ever could. Via one of our foreign contacts we recently purchased this rare and decorative mirror with perfectly realistic grape leaf 'sculptures'. This all handcrafted work-of-art-mirror from the midcentury era displays these golden colored leafs all around. Besides the fact that they are gold painted these 'wine leafs' also stand out, because they are very well created and truly realistic. Have you also noticed the solid brass twirling patterns between each leaf? Anyone who has ever looked at a grape twine up close will recognize what they are. Because of the amazing details in the rose flower sculptures it must have taken the artisan weeks if not months to create this amazing lamp. The result of his skill and dedication is a truly unique and extremely detailed, wrought iron work of lighting art. Looking at the amazing details in the petals and even in the small leafs of these perfect rose sculptures it makes this table lamp a bit of an enigma. Why? Because we have never before seen a wrought iron table or desk lamp of this quality and detail that was NOT an antique. From the lack of wear and by looking at the glass, we think this lamp is no older than 25 years. It could be a completely restored and re-blackened antique light, but we can't be sure.
