Exceptionally long, supple and silky, this rare wool produces dense, soft and luminous fabrics. The pattern was specifically chosen to allow these qualities to express themselves. . The pattern on the intermediate panel (40 x 20) features the reverse side of the fabric, reinforcing the graphic dynamics of the whole. . This one-of-a-kind textile creation is a hand woven transcription of music, a signature feature of Atelier Le Traon’s textile art. Each color represents a note; lines and columns adopt the rhythms of the composition: the fabric has become a music score… Woven with a soft and luxurious blend of geelong merino wool and yak down, this both graphic and tactile panel takes its design form the melody of “Across The Universe”, one of the Beatles' most beautiful songs. In its width, the panel unrolls the melody of the mantra "Jai Guru Deva Om" at the heart of the song. Work #110 - "Strasbourg Cathedral". 2023. Cashmere & Merino wool. The proportions of the design indicate the latitude and longitude of Strasbourg's landmark monument.

Wensleydale Blue triptych. Work #90. 2023.

Work #109 "Another Day of Sun". Cashmere & Merino wool. The fabric is a woven interpretation of La La Land's opening scene's music. Each color stands for a note, the rhythms of the weaving follows that of the music score.

Work #67 and #68: "Free & Equal" chairs - 2021. Commissioned by Mobilier National, the French agency in charge of furnishing official buildings (embassies, ministries, etc.) . The hand woven tartan-inspired tweed fabric adopts the rhythms of the Morse code to weave the First Article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Mathieu Le Traon, founder of Atelier Le Traon. Hand weaver and textile designer. After a 15-year successful career in international relations for higher education, Mathieu became a hand weaver and created his studio in Paris.
