Fantastic vintage Art Deco set of 3 chrome tube and original black vinyl or faux leather chairs attributed to Kem Weber Z Chair. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The frames have scratches consistent with age and on two of the chairs the texture on the vinyl is a bit different than the third chair. These chairs also have an extra factory hole in the arm on opposite sides leading us to believe these may have been originally part of a ganged set. They work perfectly as singles, however. Rugged, Rustic, and Ranch Oak!! This is a SUPERB vintage step end table by A. Brandt comprised of a rustic solid ranch oak frame with an Acorn Brown finish that is signature to A. Brandt Company furniture. The all-over woodgrain is outstanding, and the finish is gorgeous. The step cube or box has two drawers with square wood pulls, and it has wonderful farm or country style legs with pegs through the tabletop… a cool detail! Can’t you just see this table amongst the décor in the Yellowstone Ranch?? We sure can!! Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Black paint has been touched up on corners & top was sanded and Danish oil applied. What a beautiful way to spoil your lingerie!! This is a stunning vintage mid-century modern lingerie chest designed by Glenn of California. It is comprised of GORGEOUS rosewood top and drawer fronts bordered by an aluminum strip, grooved handle pulls on the sides of the drawers, cased with black painted sides. It has eight drawers that graduate in size from smaller at the top to larger at the bottom. Maybe you don’t have lingerie?? No worries!! Although it is called a lingerie chest you could certainly use it as a tall, narrow dresser in your bedroom or dressing area. It would be a lovely cabinet to use in a study, office, hall, or entry for linens, books, office supplies, or anything you want to stow away in a phenomenal piece of mid-century modern excellence.
Glenn of California was owned by father and son team Isaac and Robert Baron and based in Arcadia California and has been credited for being at the forefront of the West Coast modernist design movement in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The company made a name for itself when it hired Milo Baughman. They would go on to hire Swedish architect and designer Greta Magnusson-Grossman, the first woman to receive an award from the Swedish Society of Industrial Design. The significant furniture line she and Baughman designed called the California Modern Collection became known for its laid-back Los Angeles style and integration of walnut, iron, and Formica. Glenn of California collaborated with many notable designers including Kipp Stweart, Paul Laslo, John Kapel, & Stanley Young. Although Glenn of California is no longer in business, their high-end vintage furniture is sought after today.

It's 5 O’clock somewhere!! What a FANTASTIC vintage Art Deco dry bar or liquor cabinet!! It is comprised of wonderful Philippine Mahogany and finished all the way around so it can float nicely in any room you choose, plus we have added a lovely new black painted base… and it looks FABULOUS! The front double doors are spilt at the top and in the center by a wood handle that runs the length of the doors of the cabinet. So, you can open the smaller top section and leave the lower portion closed or vice versa. The right door closes over the left, so simply pull the right-hand door using the handle which reveals the inside of the cabinet featuring shelves and a small center storage unit with doors. Piano hinges assist each door in opening and the back of the doors are lined with a gorgeous vintage bark cloth...

Fabulous modern tessellated Mactan stone square end table with a diagonal peach stripe and a round glass top with beveled edge in the style of Maitland Smith. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The wood base holding the side together had gotten wet at some point and puffed causing the corner seams to separate. We have installed a new bottom and pulled those seams together again. Magnificent… Mactan Stone…. And the style of Maitland Smith!!! This is a marvelous square end table comprised of a gorgeous Mactan rough edge stone pedestal base featuring a smooth, polished diagonal peach stripe and a lovely round glass tabletop with a beveled edge in the style of Maitland Smith. So, a fun fact about Mactan stone… It is a sedimentary conglomerate of shale and coral quarried in the Philippines on an island called Opon which is located at the eastern part of the province of Cebu. It’s an island encircled by fascinating beaches and wondrous sights. The original name for these stones was "Coral stones" but that changed as the years passed by. Mactan Stones is Opon's Marvelous Gem. And this end table is DEFINITELY a gem!! Isn’t it GORGEOUS??? Its style is modern and a bit of Art Deco Revival with a Hollywood Regency and Mediterranean feel. Maybe even leaning a bit Postmodern… Either way, this spectacular end table is going to grace your home with its stunning presence whether on the side of a lounge chair in the living room holding a beverage or next to a chair in the sitting room hosting a nice table lamp. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The sofa deck has new fabric plus a new dust cover. It also has its original arm covers. We repaired a button with fabric found on bottom. It has been professionally shampooed. Legs were refinished. The foam in the cushions is soft, however it could use some more padding and new zippers. Handsome Mid-Century Modern smaller writing desk by the Robert John Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featuring walnut cabinet with white painted steel frame and white laminate top. This is from their Steelwood collection. It desk is in wonderful restored condition. We have sanded and put a new finish on the walnut and the metal frame. The laminate has been cleaned and polished. There are still signs of age but nothing major. Please see photos, circa 1960s.
This wonderful Mid-Century Modern smaller size office desk has been a real puzzle. It has taken much research and I’m still not sure I know about the Robert John Co. from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their tag says Makers of Contemporary Furniture and that this desk is. When I google them all I come up with is other pieces of furniture being offered that were made by them, but I can’t find any history on the company. And, several listings say the piece was designed by Robert John but made by Knoll. I have not found supporting evidence of that statement! No matter. This is a fabulous desk with a walnut box cabinet containing three equal size drawers that are adorned with cool black and white handles. It is surrounded by a white painted metal frame which accents the walnut wonderfully and a white laminate work surface. This was originally in an architect’s office. I can see why. It has awesome lines and is beautifully designed. This desk is just the right size for a home office. Not as big as an executive desk but a little bigger than a writing desk. Fabulous! Fabulous style! Fabulous size! Fabulous condition! Make it yours.

This sofa is simply wonderful! It was designed by John Hutton for the prestigious Donghia Furniture, a to-the-trade only supplier to interior designers and architects. This sofa, named Spirit, and part of the Enchanted collection was inspired by the ghostly shapes of furniture draped in sheets in homes during extended periods of being uninhabited. Wonderful Mid-Century Modern silkscreen wall scroll titled Chanticleer by Robert R. Bushong for Tom Tru and distributed by Raymor. It is in fantastic vintage condition and circa 1959.
I’ve recently become attracted to roosters and chickens in general, and these regal characters are really great! This wall-hanging is depicted in the Tom Tru Spring wall scroll catalog for 1959. Attributed to Robert R. Bushong, although the signature on this one is missing the G. Since the signature is so close to the edge we believe the G just did not make it into the screen printing process. This example is what was advertised in the catalog as: powder, royal, sage, brown on black texture. Otherwise known as powder blue, royal blue, sage green, and brown. Its solid walnut top and bottom mouldings are just beautiful as are these fantastic chanticleer, the name for roosters especially in fairy tales. Robert Bushong...

Excellent set of eight black Torsion dining chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti for KI. There are seven arm chairs and one side chair. They are in wonderful vintage condition with minor wear that you would expect with age. Please see photos, circa 1995.
In 1997 Giancarlo Piretti received an award for his Torsion seating collection. These chairs are part of that collection. Designed and made initially and primarily for commercial purpose they are extremely comfortable and flexible. They are lightweight and stackable. This set has an attractive textured high impact black plastic seat, back, and arms on chrome legs. No one expects this chair have the comfort it provides. The back flexes. This flex is achieved with the torsion mechanism which creates gradually increasing resistance. They were designed for comfort during long meetings or lectures. But, that makes them perfect for long dinners with lots of conversation. Or, family night with puzzles, cards, and games.
The designer, Giancarlo Piretti, was born in Bologna Italy in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums including MoMA New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with is son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
