Nice Pair of Ole Wanscher Rosewood Armchairs for AJ Iversen

About the Item

With original leather seats, circa 1961. This model was presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1961. They were described as “.. an extremely beautiful light armchair in a purely Classic form..” Illustrated in Grete Jalk, “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design”, vol. 4, p. 166–167.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Frames are generally good with robust color and figuring. One old clean break repair on an arm is visible upon close inspection. We left the original leather for its warm character, although it is quite worn, with holes, cracks and lumpy seat.
