About

This is an exceptional silk taffeta, full length dress with a stunning cut and lines. It is just phenomenal. The skirt is very full and yet very light because of the fabric choice that allows it to retain the shape and fullness Yves intended. I love that there are pockets hidden along the seam of the skirt and the series of soft pleats that circle the slightly dropped waist to help give it that volume you see. There is an incredible amount of fabric in the skirt - it is truly remarkable. The top crosses over itself at the front in a beautiful drape of soft pleats angled from each shoulder seam. Each shoulder is cut squared off with a slight padding underneath but only slight, nothing like the future padding seen in the eighties pieces. Each sleeve is set into the bodice low and wide and then the sleeve itself curves and narrows down, ending with a slim, zipped wrist. It is just wonderful and truly a work of art! Excellent condition. Very rare and museum worthy. Exceptional.

Unlined but finished to very high standards. Closes with a side, fine metal painted zipper. Hand finished
