This ethereal Edwardian couture ivory silk-crepe tea gown, with an abundance of embroidery, is of the highest quality. The garment was discovered with provenance; tagged 'Bessie Andrews white crepe dress 1916'. The stylized charm of the embroidered over-sized roses and vines personify the feminine ideal in clothing. The 3/4-length sleeve bodice has a sweet sailor collar trimmed in French style ball fringe. The nipped-waist with tiered peplum silhouttee is incredibly flattering. It is amazing that a dress with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. Beautiful and angelic!
