Chinese Miniature Mottle Glazed Bottle Shaped Vase
About the Item
A fine quality Chinese miniature vase decorated in mottled glazes dating from the latter 19th or 20th century. The stoneware vase stands raised on a narrow round foot and is of tall bulbous form with narrow and short raised cylindrical neck and simple round opening. The body of the vase is hand decorated in sang de boeuf style mottled and dripped glazes in red and blue on a contrasting ground with elements of brown. The vase has a recessed glazed base and is not marked.
From a small collection of similar glazed Chinese wares.
