19th Century Tibetan Cabinet

About the Item

A beautiful Tibetan cabinet with subtle hand-painted designs, there is a pair of small red flowers on each door, and each pair of flowers is accompanied by five longevity symbols (painted in white). These designs are painted over a Buddhist swastika pattern and stand out beautifully against the mustard-coloured background. There are two pairs of doors (top and bottom) that open fully, and the sides and top of the cabinet are in wood colour. The height of the door openings are 31.5cm each, and the handles on this cabinet are replacements. The cabinet top measures L89 x D41cm, the body measures L85 x D39cm.

    Refinished. Replacements made: T3800he handles were replaced. Repaired: The joints have been repaired so that it is structurally strong. Wear consistent with age and use. A layer of clear semi-matte lacquer had been applied.
