A Gilt and Polychrome Oversized Statue of Avalokiteshvara Nepal 7.5 ft H.

About the Item

An oversized Gilt and Polychrome Cast Metal Copper alloy Sculpture of Sahasrabhuja Lokeshvara Avalokiteshvara Nepal. Nepal, 20st century. Dimensions: height 88in; width 60in; depth 32in. Materials: 24K Gold Gilded, Copper Body, Acrylic Paints ( comes apart for easy shipping) From the Estate of Richard C Blum. Thousand-Armed Ushnishasitatapattra is a special form of the goddess Tara (Buddhism), a female form of the thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara. Her iconography is probably the most complex in the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon. The goddess has as many heads and legs as she has arms. One of a kind sculpture figure by Nepalese artist Shanta Kumar Shakya who specializes in making Buddhist Deities Statues. An oversized Gilt and Polychrome 1000-Armed Chenrezig figure statue. A true work of art, meticulously handcrafted with deep reverence for Tibetan Buddhist tradition, it offers a stunning depiction of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, revered for his boundless empathy and loving-kindness. The statue is an impressive 88 inches, making it a striking centerpiece for any meditation space or home collection. It is cast in copper and gilded with 24K gold, creating a radiant finish that shines with divine energy. The intricate details are brought to life with vibrant acrylic paintings, showcasing Chenrezig’s 1000 arms and multiple faces, each representing his limitless compassion. Standing on a beautifully designed lotus throne, the statue is surrounded by a magnificent halo, symbolizing the spiritual radiance of Chenrezig's compassionate presence. Adorned in rich jewelry and vibrantly patterned silk robes, the Bodhisattva exudes an aura of grace and wisdom. Each hand holds powerful symbols of compassion and enlightenment: the left hand grasps a lotus, bow, and arrow, and an Empowerment Vase, while the right holds a crystal rosary, Dharmachakra (Wheel of Dharma), and is in the granting mudra. Two of his hands, positioned close to his chest, hold a wish-fulfilling gem, offering blessings to all who encounter him. With three faces atop each of his heads, including a wrathful form and a peaceful Buddha, the statue embodies Chenrezig’s dynamic ability to embrace both strength and serenity. Chenrezig, known as Avalokiteshvara, is one of the most beloved Bodhisattvas in Vajrayana Buddhism. His practice encourages the development of a calm, kind, and compassionate heart—qualities that are the foundation of the Buddhist path. Whether used in meditation or as a daily reminder, this statue will inspire you to cultivate compassion and peace in your life. Perfect for Buddhist practitioners or those seeking spiritual growth, this awe-inspiring statue makes a meaningful gift or addition to any sacred space. Embrace the blessings of Chenrezig’s infinite compassion with this timeless, handcrafted masterpiece.
