About the Item
Beautiful tsuitate (single-panel screen) in lacquered wood, enriched by two paintings made on a gold leaf background.
One side depicts a natural landscape with a bird perched on a branch and a river scene. The other side presents a narrative scene, with figures in brightly colored kimono, captured in dynamic poses that evoke an episode of daily or theatrical life.
Signed and sealed with the name Eiki.
Period: Meiji late 19th century.
Dimensions: 112 x 106 x 27 cm.
Condition: Excellent. There is minimal wear of the lacquer compatible with the age and wear of the patina along the hardware.
