A Finely Cast Standing Bronze Figure of Guanyin, 17th / 18th Century

About the Item

The finely cast bronze figure of Guanyin - Bodhisattva Goddess of Compassion, Kindness & Mercy. Shown wearing an outer robe finely modelled with cascading folds tied at her waist, her head subtly tilted to the right, her face with downcast eyes, her hair upswept in a compressed bun held by a hair pin, her neck adorned with a beaded necklace. Standing atop a naturalistic mound upon a scrolled rectangular integral base. Weight, 6.5 lbs.
