This is an old Japanese wooden object.
It is thought to have been made during the Showa era, approximately 1930-1980.
I don't know the type of tree.
It is made using the roots and knobs of trees.
It has hardly been touched by human hands, and there are only carving marks on the head, but everything else is unprocessed.
It looks like a long-necked turtle is there.
The small unevenness resembles a shell, which is a wonderful expression.
The roots and knobs are the parts where you can feel the energy of the tree.
Therefore, this object also feels strong and full of vitality.
