About the Item

An early 19th century Regency cast iron fireplace insert of excellent quality. Convex interior ribbed panels connect to a central acanthus leaf internal fire frame resting on foot blocks. Graphite polished to bring out the quality of the castings. English, circa 1820 The fire opening size of the acanthus frame is: 520mm wide x 650mm high.
