This very fun pair of unusual andirons were manufactured by Rostand Manufacturing Company in Milford, Connecticut the early 20th century, each being made in a lighthouse form with a pierced housing on top to allow light of the fire come through the form. They remain in very fine condition with original log hogs behind each, this refinished in-house for a clean presentation. For a similar example, see Christies, New York, June 18th of 2001, "American Furniture and Decorative Arts, Sale 8541", lot 18 [achieved $ 7050 USD]
