Late 18th Century French Brass Repousse Cachepot from French Chateau

About the Item

Originally used in a French chateau, this late eighteenth century brass repousse cachepot features a hand hammered coat of arms on one side with a fleur-de-lys rising above three mountain peaks. Two helmets with crests and plumes crown the central shield. Lion head drop ring handles appoint each side of the piece allowing for easier carrying. The cachepot rests on a footed base. An exquisitely crafted piece, circa 1790.
