Single Bespoke Large Square French Style steel and cast iron orangerie planter box in lacquered white (as these are custom made to order, customers may request any color from the Benjamin Moore collection). Handcrafted in New Orleans by local metalsmiths using 14 gauge steel and cast iron, using centuries’ old French techniques. Each planter is raised to allow drainage through drilled holes on bottom plate. Corner posts are topped with a pinecone finial, an ancient symbol of open-heartedness. Specially crafted finishes offer durable protection while retaining a unique patina. Each planter is made by hand and is one of a kind. If a different color than lacquered white is preferred, this planter can be customized in size as well as color from the Benjamin Moore Color Chart. Allow 4 to 5 weeks for production for custom orders.

The Bhaca is a completely personal and original range of stone planters that reflect ceramicist Andile Dyalvane’s connection to his Xhosa roots while celebrating his mastery of an elemental material of choice – clay. Bhaca - meaning scarification - is a traditional Xhosa method of finely cutting the skin (usually on the cheeks) to mark initiation, clan identification, or healing. Well Carved Italian Limestone Planter or Fountain Element, H-45 Inches
Located in Dallas, TX
Standing over 45 inches tall, this well-carved limestone planter or fountain element would have a commanding presence in any landscape installation. Hand-carved in Italy in two sections (the basin is separate from the column/plinth section), a central drainage hole runs through both sections, allowing it to be plumbed for a fountain, either as a spill bowl or with a vertical jet.
The basin is six inches tall and has a diameter of almost 30 inches and is adorned with two layers of gadroon separated by a deep cavetto cornice. Interestingly, the bottom ring of lobes terminates beneath a large, attenuated leaf that can be seen under the basin. The beautifully carved basin is supported by an equally impressive, fluted column above a bulbous third section of gadroon. A thickly molded circular plinth with a large leaf cup offers stability and additional aesthetic appeal. The light gray stone has developed a mottled white, gold, and black patina with green and brown moss/lichen accumulation. Conceived while in lockdown in 2020, the Grounded Collection from Stephen Kenn is a mediation on being grounded in peaceful creative work, while enduring forced isolation from community. The concept of the collection is a play on the dual definitions of the word "grounded," from "not allowed to participate in social or recreational activities" to "well-balanced and sensible."
