Located in Dallas, TX
Hailing from Aix-en-Provence in the South of France and dating to the 1900s, this fountain element was cast in four sections. The soft cream-color has developed a mottled patina of brown, black, and gray on the basin, while the angular column has significantly less speckling. A hexagonal basin with slender and protruding quarter-round edges sits on top of a similarly shaped column, also adorned with thinly projected moldings and a beveled base. Inside the bowl is an elevated platform, carved with a removable door, making it ideal for housing a pump for a fountain or water jet. The platform and door can be removed, allowing the hexagonal basin to be utilized as an elevated planter...
