About the Item
An ode to inversion, the Reversed Nabatean Bowl by Maison Lamiè turns ancient form on its head—literally. Inspired by the ceramic language of the Nabatean tribes of the 4th century BCE, this medium-sized, one-of-a-kind piece reimagines tradition through a contemporary sculptural lens. Crafted by hand Maison Lamiè’s signature mix of clay, paper, and plaster, the bowl’s exterior takes center stage—its form upended to draw the eye toward silhouette, surface, and shadow. Textural and tactile, the piece has the quiet gravitas of an artifact unearthed from desert ruins, yet it’s entirely modern in execution. Subtle pigment variation and visible hand-carving add a layer of lived-in elegance. The medium bowl measures approximately 11 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height. Its raw finish and irregular edge reflect the handmade nature of the piece—each mark intentional, every imperfection celebrated.
Maison Lamiè’s founder, George Lamiè, channels his Egyptian heritage and reverence for Mediterranean antiquity into pieces that resist easy categorization. This is not decor—it’s dialogue. Perfect as a standalone sculpture, shelf anchor, or pedestal accent. Best displayed indoors.

MAISON LAMIÈ
Maison Lamiè is a sculptural design studio where ancient form meets modern restraint. Founded by Egyptian artist George Lamiè, the studio produces hand-formed vessels and objects that blur the line between art and artifact—crafted to bring texture, narrative, and soul to interior spaces. Lamiè’s work distills the essence of place, memory, and material into tactile forms that feel both timeworn and contemporary. His Mediterranean roots and years spent in New York and Los Angeles inform a practice that values contrast—structure and spontaneity, rawness and refinement. Each piece is shaped by hand in his Atlanta studio, honoring imperfection as a mark of presence. Maison Lamiè collections are made in limited runs and sought after by designers and collectors alike for their quiet power and emotive depth. More than decor, they are sculptural statements—objects that live in dialogue with the spaces they inhabit.
