About the Item

Bowl-shaped riser, made by using the casting technique in white clay. Yellow crystalline over brown engobe. The engobe is a clay-based color that is spread over the still unfired ceramic surface. The rough surface results from the presence of sand grains within the engobe. The collection features a sequence of spiral shapes evolving into various dimensions, presented in warm colors such as yellow and orange, interspersed with thin brown bands that emphasize the contours. Realized through the slip-casting technique in white clay, the pieces have textured surfaces created by mixing sand into the engobe (a clay-based slip color). Presented in 2019, Revolver includes three vases, a bowl, and a cup. Revolver A sequence of spiral shapes in various sizes, featuring warm tones such as yellow and orange, is interspersed with thin brown engobe bands that enhance the form. Revolver consists of three distinct designs: cylindrical vases, bowls, and cups. Design by Christoph Radl Christoph Radl (Switzerland, 1954) moved to Milan in 1977, where he met Ettore Sottsass and designed the identity of Memphis. In 1993, he founded RADL, a studio specializing in art direction, communication, and graphic design, working across fashion, design, publishing, and art. Since 2014, he has been the creative director of Cabana magazine.
