Minton English Majolica Yellow Trinket Basket Vide-Poche

About the Item

A Super-Scarce English majolica glazed trinket basket, attributed to Minton, circa 1880s. With amazing color and texture, the delicate little earthenware basket is glazed in a deep buttery yellow with a bright turquoise interior. Side looped handles and a whip-stitched rim are glazed in an alternating brown and yellow. Realistic basketwork, even the bottom shows the intricate basketweave mold work. An unusual piece for the discerning collector. 5.5 inches L x 4.5 inches W x 2.5 inches High. An impressed and hand painted mold number seen on the bottom, 461 In amazing condition.
