To the top of the slope there are multiple compartments for inkwells, pens, pair of candlesticks and other accessories. Under the upper slope there is a secret compartment which can be accessed by using the tip of the key to depress the secret catch located in the top right hand corner strengthening bracket on the second screw across (see picture 10). Once depressed the hatch springs open revealing three secret drawers. Under the lower compartment there is a reading rail which attaches to the outside of the case (see picture 21/22) there are also two further secret compartments, the first is accessed by pressing down the secret mechanism to the middle right hand side of the box (see picture 17). Once pressed the spring loaded mechanism fires forward a secret hatch which the reading rail is located on, this contains small partitioned sections. The third secret compartment can then be accessed by lifting a small tab behind the first secret compartment front. Once lifted the secret compartment contains two large slimline storage areas for valuable papers, documents and money. To the exterior of the box there is a large pull out drawer which is filled with personal travel items including boot pulls, cut throat razors, glass jars, scissors and other personal grooming and upkeep items. The drawer can only be accessed once the box has been unlocked and opened.
