An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese export silver tea caddy; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Chinese silver tea caddy has a circular rounded form. The surface of the box is embellished with an impressive applied undulating, iconic Chinese dragon design. The silver tea caddy is fitted with a plain cylindrical cover, securing with a bayonet style fitment. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this Chinese silver tea caddy include: Maker's mark: WH (Wang Hing & Company, Canton & Hong Kong) Silver quality/purity mark:90 (900/1000) Character mark: HUI [Cantonese FAI] (Canton & Hong Kong) This exceptional tea caddy is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique Chinese silver tea caddy is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The surface of each vase is embellished with fine and impressive applied bamboo stalk designs. Each vase features a protruding crimped, undulating border to the upper rim.
