About the Item

An impressive and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu and white Carrara marble candelabras. Each ten arm candelabra is raised by a striking triangular white Carrara marble base with fine topie shaped feet, concave sides decorated with superb pierced fitted foliate Rinceau scrolled ormolu plaques, and cut corners with beautiful block rosettes. Three elegantly curved supports lead upwards adorned with fine acanthus leaves, wonderfully executed draped fabric garlands, and lovely foliate designs branching out to superb foliate and floral candle cups. At the center is the striking tapered fut displaying charming finely detailed floral designs, richly chased draped garlands, Vitruvian scrolls, and fine fluted designs.
