Empire Gilt-Bronze & Variegated Green Marble Desk Set, c.1820
About the Item
The base is composed of variegated green marble with a pen tray, ormolu trim and patarae motif. The ormolu well with lid is beautifully decorated with laurel wreath garland surrounding the base flowing up to fluting in the center and a laurel leaf finial on the lid.
