About the Item

Anthropomorphic form composed of two elements, wheel-thrown in refractory red clay. Hand-incised decoration beneath semi-gloss white glaze. Year of original production: 1964. Reissue year: 2019 – Limited Edition of 399 pieces. The Riedizioni collection recreates Aldo Londi’s ceramic works from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, preserved in the Bitossi Museum Archive. Produced in limited editions, each piece bears the original inventory number on its base, along with the name of the historic brand “Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.” The Riedizioni collection was launched in 2003, coinciding with the inaugural exhibition highlighting the history of Bitossi and Aldo Londi’s production. Each piece in the collection is a faithful reproduction of an original work preserved in the Bitossi Museum Archive. These limited‑edition collectibles are meticulously crafted, and each piece is identified with the inventory number of the original and the name of the historic brand “Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli” at the base. The ceramic pieces in the collection were created between the 1950s and 1970s and represent Aldo Londi’s modern artistry.
