The seraph has 6 wings and is so close to God that it burns with the light of divine love. This is why the word seraph means burning. He is the guardian angel. The seraphim is therefore an envoy, a messenger, an intermediary between God and man; he is the link between heaven and earth.
As you might expect, this ex-voto represents a seraph. It was sculpted in sandstone by craftsmen and presented on a museum-style base.
