Frank Kozik x Kidrobot “Smokin’ Joe Stalin” Vinyl Bronze Bust, 2007 — Limited Edition of 50
A rare and iconic piece from the late legendary artist Frank Kozik, this limited edition bronze Stalin bust, titled “Smokin’ Joe Stalin,” was released by Kidrobot in 2007 in an edition of just 50 pieces worldwide. This particular example is new old stock and includes its original box in excellent condition.
Step up to the plate with this provocative and brilliantly subversive piece by legendary pop artist Frank Kozik. Famed for his fearless mashups of cultural and political iconography, Kozik delivers a stunning resin bust that fuses two unlikely figures: Soviet strongman Joseph Stalin and American baseball icon Joe DiMaggio.
Wearing a custom-designed “Bolsheviks” baseball jersey, this sculpture blurs the lines between Cold War authoritarianism and all-American sports heroism. The result? A tongue-in-cheek commentary on power, propaganda, and pop culture – all wrapped in Kozik’s unmistakable visual flair.
