French 19th century patinated Bronze, Mahogany, and Ormolu bust of Napoleon

About the Item

A statement making and very handsome French 19th century patinated Bronze, Mahogany, and Ormolu bust of Napoleon. This impressive bust is raised by a Mahogany block pedestal with mottled top and bottom edges and an eye catching front facing Ormolu reserve. The pierced reserve is framed within a rectangular frame with palmettes on each end. Inside the rectangular frame is a winged woman dressed in flowing garments as she paints on a blank canvas. The patinated Bronze bust above showcases a boldly postured Napoleon with a powerful look in the style of Julius Caesar.
