About the Item

A beautiful and very high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu statue signed by Auguste Moreau. The statue entitled "Le Baiser" (The Kiss) is raised by a circular base with a ground like design, stunning richly chased blooming flowers, and intricately detailed leaves growing up a rock. Above is a beautiful young nymph with charming butterfly wings draped in a wonderful flowing fabric holding her two hands up to her mouth to blow a kiss.
