Large Bronze African Lady Sculpture in Hagenauer style, circa 1950

Beautiful very large bronze sculpture of an African Lady in the style of Karl Hagenauer, manufactured around 1950. The scultpure is made from high quality bronze and is shaped like a lady carrying a jar. The sculpture is inspired by the "giraffe women" of South Africe, recognized by the rings around there neck. In certain African cultures a long neck is a beauty ideal, so women wear these rings to stretch their necks as far as possible. In good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
