About the Item

A scent bottle in pale blue jasperware, with original silver cap with chain, surmounted by a wonderfully wrought squirrel. Note the way the beads have been added individually; this was only done in the 18th century, when labour was cheap.   Exhibited: Wedgwood, Master Potter to the Universe, Roche Foundation, 2023.
