About the Item

Beautiful polychrome porcelain crucifix from the Meissen factory, one of the oldest and most prestigious European porcelain manufacturers. The brand is clearly visible under the base of the crucifix and is distinguished by the star beneath two crossed swords. The crucifix features a wooden cross from which hangs the inscription "INRI" and the figure of Jesus, made of polychrome porcelain with gold trim. The base, also made of polychrome porcelain, features a small hill containing vegetation, mushrooms, and a skull, adding a touch of realism. The painting technique and the rendering of detail in the sculptures are of excellent quality. This is an antique and valuable object, capable of enriching any setting. Made in Germany in Meissen, dating back to the second half of the 18th century, under the direction of Count Camillo Marcolini. Measurements: H x W x D 44.5 x 20 x 12cm
