GIANT Cachepot Planter 1950s by Huber Roethe Landshut (that´s where we´re based) mid-century art pottery Design Period mid 1950s Production Period 1952-1957 Country of Manufacture Germany MARKED: not marked :-: in good condition with some tolerable chips on base (see photos) :-: Ø mouth: 32cm ~ height: 26cm ~ weight: 4303 grs To ensure a safe arrival, this item is packed in super-safe giant packaging. (up to 10 Kg) Studio ceramic cachepot by Herta / Gerda Huber - Roethe 1950s. In 1930, Herta Huber - Roethe and her husband Ernst took over the Achdorf ceramic pottery in Landshut, Germany. Italy was the post-war paradise. In the early 1950s, Herta Huber-Roethe led the Huber-Roethe ceramics workshop in Landshut-Achdorf in the development of a modern ceramic collection that met the contemporary taste of the economic miracle era. The collection included asymmetrically shaped and softly curved vessels in the 'kidney-shaped style'. The company, which was later managed by Rainer Huber-Roethe and finally by his wife Gerda Huber-Roethe until 1984, employed up to twenty people at times. The Huber-Roethe ceramic workshop in Landshut-Achdorf developed a modern ceramic collection in the early 1950s under the direction of Herta Huber-Roethe. These asymmetrically shaped and softly curved vessels in the 'kidney-shaped style' met the contemporary taste of the economic miracle era. The company was subsequently run by Rainer Huber-Roethe and finally by his wife Gerda Huber-Roethe until 1984. It employed up to twenty people at times. *~* your pleasure is our de-lite *~*

The construction of Landshut began in 1204 under the rule of Duke Ludwig of Bavaria. It was a typical Wittelsbach founding town and marked a new form of territorial politics for the Bavarian dukes. From 1231, Landshut became the residence of the Wittelsbach dynasty and the capital of the Duchy of Bavaria until 1255. Due to the division of Bavarian lands, Landshut alternated between being a capital and a residential town. The town thrived thanks to its location on the Isar River and its strategic positioning along trade routes. By the 14th century, Landshut had developed its Gothic town center, which remained largely unchanged until the 19th century. During the period from 1392 to 1503, Landshut experienced a prosperous and politically important era under the rule of the three "rich" Dukes Heinrich, Ludwig, and Georg.
