Studio ceramic vase by Herta / Gerda Huber - Roethe 1950's In 1930 Herta Huber - Roethe and her husband Ernst took over the ceramic pottery Achdorf in Landshut - Germany
... it was the period Germans discovered the "Land, wo die Zitronen blühen (J.W. v. Goethe)" :Italy the post war paradise.
Condition: very good - I would say excellent (looks like it never has been used!) - no chips, cracks or hairlines
Under the management of Herta Huber-Roethe, the Huber-Roethe ceramic workshop in Landshut-Achdorf developed a modern ceramic collection in the early 1950s, which met the contemporary taste of the economic miracle era with asymmetrically shaped and softly curved vessels in the "kidney-shaped style". At times, the company, which was subsequently run by Rainer Huber-Roethe and finally by his wife Gerda Huber-Roethe until 1984, employed up to twenty people.
