About the Item

A stunning stoneware floor vase with a beautiful hand carved geometric pattern. Designed by Lisa Larson at Gustavsberg Studio in Sweden, 1960s. Good condition. Some metal marks and a couple of tiny chips to the foot ring. Lisa Larson (1931-2024) was a Swedish ceramicist and designer, born in Härlunda. She is primarily known for her work with ceramic figures and sculptures, especially during her time at Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik between 1954 and 1980, where she collaborated with Stig Lindberg. After Gustavsberg, she worked for Duka, Höganäs, Rosenthal, Rörstrand and Jie Gantofta. In 1992, Larson returned to the premises in Gustavsberg where she started her own company, Keramikstudion AB. Lisa Larson's works are often characterized by playful and distinctive child and animal figures with a unique style and personality. Many of her sculptures come in series, such as “Lilla zoo” 1955, “ABC flickorna” 1958, and “Adventsbarn” 1979. Lisa Larson has had a significant influence in the ceramic art scene and her works are highly appreciated and sought after by collectors around the world.
