About the Item

A good Johann Loetz Witwe "Onyx" marbel glass Vase from the late 19th century. Made ca. 1888 in Bohemia in Klostermühle, today part of the Czech Republic and known as Klášterský Mlýn. A nice opaque marble glass with detailed enamel and gold painting to the upper neck and the opening, as well as the base rim. Cf.: Lötz - Böhmisches Glas 1880-1940, Vol. 1, Werkmonographie, München, 1989, fig.9. With a sticker from the Reidel family collection under the base.
