About the Item

Large ceramic floor vase by ceramic artist Harald Folmer Gross (1888-1961) for Knabstrup Ceramics - Gross worked for Knabstrup from 1941 to 1945. Light cream yellow base with hand-painted organic oceanic scenes in blues and greens depicting boats, large clouds, rain, an island with a light tower and the waves on the sea. Incised relief lines on the motifs. Two handles on the top. Stamped and signed under base. Beautiful vintage condition. Denmark, early 1940s.
