Marcello Fantoni Mid-Century Modern Drip Glaze Art Pottery 'Pillow' Vase

About the Item

This art pottery vase was done by the renowned Marcello Fantoni of Italy in approximately 1960 in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The vase is done with a thick dark brown clay and has a squared or 'pillow' shaped base with a stout round neck. The sides are decorated with a mixture of blues, green and black drip glaze in a diagonal pattern. The vase is clearly signed on the base with a faint model number.
