Cut Crystal Dumbbell Carving Knife Rest

About the Item

A cut crystal, faceted Dumbbell shaped knife rest, circa early to mid 19th Century. A large rest, meant to raise the blade of a carving knife from the table, to keep from soiling the linen. Heavy and beautifully faceted. 4.25 inches long x 2 inches high. Showing the expected light wear, in very good condition. The carving knife shown is to illustrate use – it is not included.
