Charming chinoiserie landscape scene depicting the European interpretation of pastoral life in China and the exotic landscape.
Rim-to-rim decoration with a chinoiserie scene of a man fishing on an island by a bridge with mountains on the horizon. Decorated in blue on a bluish-greyish glaze. Restoration to a hairline crack. Probably London, third quarter of the 18th century.
